A
KIWI GARDENS POEM...
Tear
the calendar to shreds and throw your watch away,
there is no such thing as time on KONA HOLIDAY. Sunset,
moonrise...moonset...and dawn,
that's the way that KONA folks know the day is gone.
April, August, May, June are
simply names we hear,
but ginger time and mango time are dates to mark the year.
The shrewish clock runs down
and stops and no one winds it up.
For any time is dinner time when hunger says to sup.
And no one sleeps on moonlight
nights. We prowl and sing and dance,
and what we do and where we go is simply left to chance.
For one may sing a hulu song
and one may hum a hymn.
With Leis and laughter everywhere...Life is a happy game.
The weary world of woes and
wars is very far away.
Ah, Kiwi Gardens is a joyous place to spend a holiday.
